The graphical style is a bit Minecraft like. Its graphics are not on the level of Animal Crossing or any of the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games. The gameplay should make fans of simulation games happy.Ĭastaway Paradise is a cute game.

You can do favors for the animals, collect objects, decorate your island, fish, bug hunt, and more. The part of the island you play in is small at first and then you can expand to new areas of it. I like it! The dialogue in the game is good so far.Ĭastaway Paradise seems to be a pretty big game so it would take a really long time in order to see everything it offers. Much more rude than what you find modern Animal Crossing. The animals themselves will remind you of early Animal Crossing though. The objects you collect in Castaway Paradise are a lot like what you’d find in a Harvest Moon game: they are not interactive like Animal Crossing. And plants and other things grow fast like in Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons. The animals do not get upset with you if you miss playing the game. You do get rewarded for playing every day but there is no clock or day/night system in the game. There is also no real time clock in Castaway Paradise. Though thankfully there is no stamina bar for activates such as fishing.
